How to Install rails3 software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

rails3 software package provides MVC ruby based framework geared for web application development, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install rails3

rails3 is installed in your system.

Make ensure the rails3 package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rails3 *

You will get with rails3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
